The is the Japanese version of chow mein and in my totally biased opinion, it’s WAY better. It’s perfect as a side dish or even as a main. And if you’re feeling like trying something that sounds weird but is totally delicious, put the yakisoba inside a warm hotdog bun. Trust me, it’s incredible and fairly portable.

Yakisoba

Messy, saucy, and worth every shirt stain

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Servings: 3-4

Ingredients:

Chicken
  • Chicken Chest (1)

  • Shoyu (1 tbsp)

  • Cooking Sake (½ tbsp)

  • Baking Soda (1 tsp)

  • Cold Water (2 tbsp)

  • Salt (to taste)

  • Black Pepper (to taste)

Sauce
  • Shoyu (3 tbsp)

  • Worcestershire Sauce (¼ cup)

  • Oyster Sauce (2 tbsp)

  • Ketchup (2 tbsp)

  • Brown Sugar (2 tbsp)

Other
  • Japanese Style Pan Fry Noodles

  • Carrot (1)

  • Sweet Onion (½)

  • Cabbage (3-4 leaves)

  • Green Onion (2 stalks)

  • Nori Flakes (to taste)

  • Pickled Ginger (to taste)

  • Bonito Flakes (to taste)
